• 10+ years of experience in architecting, designing and building complex enterprise strength products.
• Good understanding of product life cycle is required.
• Excellent understanding of windows platform, security, .net and web technologies is a must.
• Solid foundation of RDBMS and object oriented design experience with hands-on is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level.
• Strong work ethic, commitment and team work.
• Creative problem solving approach, passion for quality and customer-first attitude.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, domain knowledge and mentoring capabilities.

• Requires a Masters or Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Mathematics.

• 2+ years experience in an analyst role with leading investment bank, buy-side investment manager, or telecom / mobile / IP industry research firm

• Deep knowledge of the Telecom industry, especially mobile and IP-based products and services

I am interested in speaking with you about a Director of Product Management position located in San Mateo, CA. The hiring company specializes in data integration, federation and virtualization. The software performs integration on a number of data sources; packaged apps, RDBMS, flat files, Data Warehouses, Web Services. All of this data becomes accessible to users and on a near real-time basis.

We are searching for a Director of Product Management to lead product management for a company's line of products. The product line requires deep technical understanding of enterprise software platforms and applications, middleware, customer environments as well as internal and external processes. The candidate should be a hands-on manager who has led several product initiatives and is comfortable working closely with internal engineering, marketing, support, and sales teams in addition will partner with external stakeholders, including customers, OEM partners, technology vendors and industry analysts.

Responsibilities

       *  Lead company's product strategy, product innovation and commercialization efforts
       *  Manage a team of highly energetic and passionate product managers
       *  Research market requirements, translate them into product requirements, define and prioritize release requirements, develop product roadmaps and recommend overall product direction

       *  Work with customers to identify new product opportunities and translate them into new products and product options

       *  Partner closely with engineering, marketing and sales teams throughout the entire product cycle to help grow the business and ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction

       *  Drive analyst communication to promote company's product vision and evangelize company's leadership position in the market

       *  Lead competitive analysis efforts and develop positioning materials and sales toolkits to improve sales win rates

Requirements

       *  BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering or business administration. (MBA is a plus)
       *  10 or more years hands-on track record in product management and product strategy
       *  5 or more years of managing small to medium sized product management teams
       *  Proven track record and progressively increasing level of responsibilities
       *  Solid technical skills in enterprise software platforms, highly available, parallel and distributed systems
       *  Ability to clearly, concisely, and persuasively write and speak about enterprise software
       *  High energy, tenacity, and the drive to succeed in a technology company
       *  Demonstrated ability to deliver measureable results and while enhancing the processes
       *  Experience developing MRD/PRD, roadmap and business plan documents
       *  Hands on approach including planning, execution, process automation, and problem solving
       *  Strong organizational skills
       *  Knowledge of engineering processes and engineering cycle
       *  Knowledge of sales process and sales cycle
       *  Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
