Title :   .Net Developer with Sharepoint,
Location : Seattle, WA,
Duration : 6 Months.

 

As an Intermediate/Senior Developer you will be a key member in our small development team providing application development expertise, as well as providing technical guidance to the Information Services department. You will be responsible for designing and coding various Windows application software projects. Working with the Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the technical analysis, technical definition, and documentation of requirements for new development projects, as well as the ongoing post-production development and maintenance of these applications. The legacy code for the most part is C++ and MFC with current and future development being in .NET.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
" Design and develop .NET and SQL Server based applications that meet data integrity, performance, business, and security objectives for complex application features using tools like Visual Studio and interaction with SQL Server databases
" Design and develop software applications which adhere to standards for coding and design to solve business problems as outlined in the functional specifications
" Interact with the Business Systems Analyst and/or end user community to gather and analyze the technical requirements
" Provide technical work estimates and task breakdown
" Research and correct production issues encountered during and after implementation
" Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved
" Perform and participate in code reviews
" Perform thorough unit testing and some functional testing as needed
" Provide support to QA during the testing process
" Assist business with inquiries requiring technical and data analysis skills
" Possess solid communication skills and a strong customer focus
" Be dependable and levelheaded
" Research, design and implement new features
" Perform other related projects and duties as assigned
" Perform on-call duties as required including occasional nights and weekends

 

Required Skills:
" 4+ years commercial development experience using C#
" 4+ years development experience in a business environment working with users
" Thorough working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET and web services
" In-depth knowledge of the .NET framework and Libraries for .NET 2.0
" Background in Web Technologies: HTML, XHTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, ASP/ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, AJAX, CSS
" Web Service experience including SOAP
" Experience with Microsoft Technologies: MS Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, SharePoint Designer 2007, MS Visual Studio .NET 2005, MS Office 2007/2003
" In-depth experience with T-SQL and SQL 2005 and using relational database technology including table and schema design, stored procedure development and SQL queries
" Experience with Logical and Physical database design in an enterprise level application
" Strong problem solving and debugging skills
" Excellent communication and time management skills
" Must be self-motivated and able to work with little definition and supervision, and within a team
" Ability to work under tight time constraints with changing requirements
" Experience with Microsoft Technologies: MOSS 2007, SharePoint Designer 2007, InfoPath 2007, MS Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF)
" Experience with C++ a big plus
" Experience with VB a plus
" Experience working the health insurance field is a plus
